Mrs. Zelma Celeste 'Conway' Turner passed away late Wednesday morning, July 4, 2012, at her Brookside Manor Residential Care residence, in Farmington, at the age of 92 years, 6 months & 20 days. Zelma was born on December 19, 1919, in Bunker, Missouri, to Dorothy (Heaton) and Link Conway. Also preceding in death were: her husband, Willard R. Turner; sister, Maude Blakc and son-in-law, Roger Becker.
Zelma was a member of Little Vine United Baptist Church of Bunker. She loved to garden; then can and freeze from that garden. She made many quilts of which her family has many of. When she was able, she loved to attend church. We all have the comfort of knowing she is with her Savior in Heaven now.
Zelma lived her life in the Bunker Community until her and Willard moved to Salem, MO., where they lived for a few years. After Willard's death, she moved to Farmington, to be near her daughter, Wanda Becker, who survives her. Also surviving is her son, Ray Gene (Marlene) Turner, of Salem. 6 Grandchildren: Garald Becker (Jan), of Fairborn, OH; Dennis Becker (Terrie), of Arnold, MO; Kelly Turner (Lori Ann), of Bunker; Kimberly Thompson (Phillip), of Salem; Katrina Howard, of O'Fallon, MO; Marcella Turner, of Salem. 14 Great-Grandchildren; 10 Great, Great-Grandchildren. 2 Sisters: Lucille Moses & Edith Woodson, both of St. Louis, MO. 2 Sisters-In-Law: Hazel Turner, of Bunker & Sudie (Leroy) Williams, of Salem.
Visitation : Thursday, 5-8 p.m Visitation resumes, Friday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Friday, 11:00 a.m., July 6, 2012
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Kenneth Parker officiating.
Interment : Turner Cemetery, 'P' Highway, near Bunker (Shannon County)
