Wilson Henry Martin Jr.

Wilson “Butch” Martin, Jr., 67 of Bonne Terre passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his love ones. He was born Tuesday, November 29, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late Wilson H. and Marie D. (Welch) Martin. Butch honorably served in the United States Army. He was a retired truck driver. Butch loved reading, and watching wildlife, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially loved his basset hound, Daisy May, who preceded him in death in 2021. The most important thing in Butch’s life was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew Bruce Martin.
Those left to cherish Butch’s memory include his loving wife, Sherry Martin; children, Katelyn Martin, Richard “Ricky” Welch and Candice Welch (Jim Copeland); grandchildren, Weston Knight and David Welch; siblings, Carol Anglin, Rita Price (Dennis) and Ruth Moll along with many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Butch will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with Pastor Ron Rothlisberger officiating. Burial to follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery with military honors.
