Wilma Brenon

Wilma D. Brenon of Farmington (formerly of Bonne Terre) passed away February 15, 2025, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center at the age of 91. She was born April 8, 1933, in Stanton, Alabama. Wilma enjoyed sewing and gardening, but most of all, she loved taking care of her family. She volunteered with local 4-H clubs and Girl Scout troops when her daughters were young.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Haywood and Neatie (Green) Keener, her dear husband, Charles (Coke) Brenon; and one sister, Elsie Barwald.

Wilma is survived by two daughters, Connie Waters and husband Dave, and Lori Motley and husband Russell; three grandchildren, Jodi (Cory) Carver, Haley (Aaron) Baker, and Jeremiah (Heather) Waters; nine great-grandchildren, Brady, Mackenzie and Eli Waters; Nash, Merritt, Duke, Ford, and Murphy Baker; and Calvin Carver. She is also survived by one sister, Mary (Bob) Gilreath; nieces, Janine Whittier and Chrissie Larkin; nephew, Steven Ryals; and a special great-nephew, Ross Whittier. 

Per Wilma’s wishes, there will be no visitation, and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel in Farmington.
