William Simpson, Sr.

            William Simpson, 94, of Farmington, passed away April 23, 2020 at his home with his loved ones around him. He was born December 3, 1925, in Desloge, to the late William Calvin and Macie Elmira (Berry) Simpson. William was a member of Local #513 and First Baptist Church in Desloge.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Veva Hortense (Webb) Simpson; one son, William Simpson, Jr.; brothers, Eual and Paul Simpson; sisters, Irma Dickerson, Helen Braum, and Margaret Pettus.

          William is survived by his children, Jimmy Simpson, Joyce Walker and husband Ted, Sherri Carroll and husband Rick; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

          There will be a PRIVATE family visitation and service under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Brother John Parker will be officiating. Interment will follow at New Masonic Cemetery in Potosi. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
