William Ray Howell

William Ray Howell, 60, of Bonne Terre passed away March 2, 2017 at St. Louis University Hospital. He was born May 3, 1956 in St. Louis to the late Robert L. and Mae (Webb) Howell. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Mark Howell. William proudly served his country in the United States Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his time with the U.S. Army he was awarded an Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon.

William is survived by his wife, Sherry Howell; three sons, Billy Howell and wife Jena, Jeremy Howell and Michael Howell and wife JoAnna; step-son, Cody Miller; five grandchildren, Kaylee Merseth, Liam, Josie, Barrett and Harper Howell; brother, Bobby Howell and wife Neena; sister-in-law, Lisa Howell. Several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

A graveside service will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Bonne Terre Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials may be made to the Bonne Terre VFW Post 6883. View obituary and share condolences online at www.www.czboyer.com
