William Leonard Koester, Sr.

William Koester, 86, of Bonne Terre passed away June 19, 2018 at NHC healthcare in Desloge. He was born March 5, 1932 in East Bonne Terre, Missouri to the late Burl A. “Bat” and Jesse Viola (Morris) Koester.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Reva Fern (Henson) Koester; daughter, Kathy Lynn Koester; brother, Eugene V. Koester; and sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Koester.

William is survived by his son, Bill Koester Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Bonne Terre; seven grandchildren, Zakarhia, Jayce, Keja, Cenyon, Aaron, Jayden, and Niya; brother, Bernard “Butch” Koester; sister-in-law, Bertha Koester; and many other family and friends. Special thanks to sister-in-law Janice Boyd for her devoted care.

A graveside service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Bonne Terre cemetery with Pastor Steven Clevenger officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christmas Lady at Belgrade State Bank in Desloge. Arrangements are under the care of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
