William Laplant

            Bill LaPlant, 91, of Park Hills, passed away October 26, 2017, at his home. He was born January 15, 1926, in Annapolis, to the late William Joseph and Virgie Mae (Ellis) LaPlant. Bill worked for many years at Frankie’s Texaco in Leadwood and was employed as a maintenance worker at Wal-Mart in Desloge.  

            He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Opal (Myers) LaPlant; son in infancy, David LaPlant and two dogs, Teddy and Blaze.  

            Bill is survived by four children, Billy LaPlant and wife Mary of Wortham, Donna Helms and husband Sam of Park Hills, Mike LaPlant and wife Judy of Leadington, Danny LaPlant and wife Stacie also of Park Hills; one step-daughter, Gayle Gillette and husband Allen of Maysville; fifteen grandchildren, Marcella, Tammy, Sherri, Brandon, David, Ben, Steve, Misty, Paula, Jackie, William, Michelle, Brian, Dee, and Tammy; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and loving dog, Sadie. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, October 30, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Tuesday,

October 31, 2017 at 1:30 PM, with Rev. Mike Barton officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington. Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society.
