Mr. William "Bill" Gene Lix passed away Sunday morning at his Farmington residence at the age of 72 years, 11 months & 11 days. Bill was born on March 8, 1944, in Bonne Terre, MO., & was the son of William Henry Lix and Ceva C. 'Peery' Lix Mace. Also preceding in death were: his father-in-law, Luther Kennon; and 3 brothers-in-law : Les Farmer, Don King & Lt. Col. Gore Roberts.
Bill was united in marriage to Joyce Kennon, on May 31, 1962, in Esther, Missouri. Bill was a member of Farmington First Free Will Baptist Church since 1967. He was the former Service Manager at Fitz Chevrolet, and formerly worked at Parker-Banks Jeep-Eagle and the Farmington Civic Center.
Survivors Include: his wife of almost 55 years, Joyce Marie 'Kennon' Lix, of Farmington. 2 sons - Rev. David (& Lorrie) Lix, of Columbus, GA and Dennis (& Melondy) Lix, of Farmington. A sister, Patricia Farmer, of Wickenburg, AZ. His mother-in-law, Nina Kennon, of Farmington. 2 sisters-in-law, Marilyn King, of Farmington & Margaret Roberts (& Charles Scheuerman), of Florida. 3 grandchildren: Nathan Lix, Lydia Lix & Megan Lix. 2 step-granddaughters, Laura Carrow & Jenna Carrow. Also surviving are numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation : Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. - resuming, Wednesday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., February 22, 2017

Interment : St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery, rural Bonne Terre, MO
