William "Bill" Bailey

Mr. William Ridley "Bill" Bailey passed away Friday evening, February 3, 2012, at the Westwood Hills Nursing Home, in Poplar Bluff, MO., at the age of 85 years, 3 months & 22 days. Bill was born on October 11, 1926, in Tennessee, and was the son of William McKinley Bailey and Daisy Clyde 'Dodson' Bailey. Also preceding were: a sister, Evelyn Camper and a brother, Raymond Bailey.

Bill was a Charter Member and Original Deacon of Blessed Hope Baptist Church of Farmington. He was married on Dec. 7, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, to Margaret Zona 'Stevens' Bailey. Bill owned "Bill Bailey's Expert Tree Service."

Survivors Include: his wife, Margaret Zona 'Stevens' Bailey, of Farmington. 6 children: Georgia (& Gary) Vertican, of Cedar Glen, CA; Edward (& Evelyn) Bailey, of Pontiac, MI; David (& Janet) Bailey, of Hollywood, FL; Linda Sue (& Steve) McIver, of Poplar Bluff; MO; Steven (& Cheryle) Bailey, of Farmington; Jeanette (& Rick) Holeyfield, of Woodruff, SC. Also surviving are 14 Grandchildren: Ginger, Gary II, Garnet, & Griffith Vertican; Gaylynn (& Matt) Pantana. Jennifer (& John) Thompson, Scott & Phillip Bailey, Gregory Bailey, Andrew, Ryan & Elizabeth Policht. Faith & Charity Holeyfield.& 6 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation : Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Blessed Hope Baptist Church of Farmington. Visitation resumes, Tuesday @ 9:00 a.m.

Funeral : Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., Feb. 7, 2012

at : Blessed Hope Baptist Church, with Rev. Jeff Brady officiating.

Interment : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington
