Wanda M. Burns

Wanda Mae Burns, 89, of Valles Mines passed away September 13, 2017, at Baisch Nursing Center. She was born September 12, 1928, in Silver Springs, MO. Wanda was a member of Agape Faith Church of Valles Mines.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob Franklin and Clara Elsie (Douglas) Moses; husband, Floyd Emmett Burns; great-granddaughter, Heather Govero; four brothers, Lindell Moses, Virgil Moses, Adrian Moses and Robert Moses; sister, Alice Wells; two brothers-in-law, Sonny Wells and Rev. Glenn Gowen.

Wanda is survived by four children, Shirley Harrison and husband Jerry of Valles Mines, Floyd Earl Burns and wife Beverly of Bonne Terre, Danny Burns and wife Linda of Valles Mines, Charles Burns and wife Connie of Valles Mines; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Jean Gowen of Valles Mines and Maxine Ribble and husband Don of Valles Mines. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Monday, September 18, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Visitation will resume Tuesday at 9:00 AM at Agape Faith Church in Valley Mines with the service beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. John Johnson and Rev. Shirley Gowen officiating.
