Wanda F. Cole

Wanda Cole, age 88, of Desloge, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sunday, November 10, 1935, in East Bonne Terre, to the late Ernest and Belva (Black) Boyer. Wanda was a former secretary at First Baptist Church of Bismarck. She was a member of Open-Door Baptist Church in Desloge. 

She loved being outdoors where you would find her tending to her flowers, feeding the birds and the deer, but disliked fighting off those pesky squirrels. She enjoyed researching genealogy and most of all spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Samuel “Bud” Cole; son, Ronald E. (Patricia) Cole; siblings, Delbert “Sonny” Boyer, Darrell Boyer, Dennis Boyer, Roy Stegall, Jr. and Mike Stegall. 

Wanda is survived by her beloved son, Donnie Cole, and wife Yvette; four beautiful granddaughters, Kelly (Randy) Johnson, Natasha Cole, Becky (Corey) Dee, Courtney Cole; four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Johnson, Clayton and Laney Dee; siblings, Bonnie Herald, Patricia Oder, Judith Sumpter, Wayne Stegall and Layne Stegall, Linda Howell, Dudley Stegall along with many nieces, nephews and other friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home-Caldwell Chapel from 1:00 PM until service time of 3:00 PM with Pastor Duane Hampton officiating. Burial to follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington.
