Virgil "BAGGY" Pettus, 87 of Bonne Terre, past away in his home March 18, 2012.He was born in Bonne Terre, on February 16, 1925. He is preceded in death by Parents, Dan and Lela Pratte Pettus.One Daughter, Sandy Pettus Keen.A Brother, Bufford Pettus and Sisters, Thelma Yarbrough and Faye Green. Baggyis survived by his wife of 67 years, Bernice Letta (Halter) Pettus of Bonne Terre; Children, Danny Pettus and wife Judy of Bismarck, Ronnie Pettus and wife Donna of Bonne Terre, Susan (Mrs. Richard) Lindsey of Bonne Terre, Karen (Mrs. Richard) Worley of Farmington; 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren; Brothers, Bearl Pettus, Ferrell Pettus, and Dallam Pettus all of Bonne Terre.Sisters, Glenda (Mrs. Ken) Byington, Virgie Morris and Fern Whitmeir all of Bonne Terre.He also leaves a very dear friend, Bob Winckel. He was a member of the Primrose Baptist Church in Bonne Terre.He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and a Lifetime Member of the Farmington VFW Post #5896. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.Service will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Wright officiating.Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery.
