Virgie Marie Morris

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Virgie Marie Morris on April 7, 2024, at the age of 89. She was born on November 28, 1934 to the late Dan and Lela (Pratte) Pettus. Also preceded in death by husband of 50 years, Donald Morris; son-in-law, Jim Wallen; siblings, Bearl, Booke, Baggy, Ferrell, Dallam Pettus, Thelma Yarbrough, Faye Green, Fern Whitmire, and Glenda Byington. 

 Virgie was known for her love of quilting and cooking for her beloved family and friends. Most of all she loved spending time with her precious children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving daughter Linda Wallen, son Gary Morris, daughter-in-law Sally Morris, son Steve Morris, daughter-in-law Lisa Morris, granddaughter Meghan (John) Elet, granddaughter Meredith (Kevin) Watson, granddaughter Jennifer (Greg) McDaniel, grandson Nick Wallen, granddaughter Michelle Wallen, granddaughter Annie Morris, granddaughter Emily (Josh) Howard, granddaughter Katie Morris, grandson Sean (Kelsie) Morris, great-grandson Jackson Elet, great-granddaughter Jillian Elet, great-grandson Owen McDaniel, great-grandson Evan McDaniel, great-grandson Isaac Madden, great-granddaughter Josephine Gibson, great-grandson Jameson Howard, great-granddaughter Mallory Morris, sisters- in-laws Helen Pettus, Nancy Pettus, Grace Pettus. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM Reverend Ron Beaton officiating. Burial to follow at Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Bonne Terre. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Marvin Chapel Cemetery, contact Kevin Cook or you can drop off in Memorial box at funeral home.
