Thomas Eugene Quinton, 83, of Farmington passed away September 25, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 2, 1940 in Fredericktown, MO to the late James and Beulah (Simmons) Quinton. Tom was a member of the New Life Assembly of God. He retired as a carpenter for Union Local 1795. He loved antiques and especially enjoyed trading and antique cars.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Rosalie Quinton; brother, James Quinton; and brother-in-law, William “Bill” Gibbs.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janice (Thomas) Quinton; six children, Scott “Mouse” (Peggy) Quinton, Rodney (Karen) Quinton, Kim (Jerry) Marler, Sherry (Alan) Ainsworth, Jennifer (Byron) Harrington, Robin (Mark) Garner; eleven grandchildren, Scotty Quinton, Chad (Marcia) Marler, Tabitha Ainsworth, Jamie (Adam) Portell, Brent Marler, Whitney Harrington, Ross (Sydney) Quinton, Austin Quinton, Shaylyn (P.J.) Emanuel, Brock (Jenna) Quinton, Marcus Garner; ten great-grandchildren, Scotty Quinton, Jr., Chase Comito, Katie Comito, Emma Marler, Connor Portell, Reid Portell, Isaac Portell, Jack Emanuel, Adaline Emanuel, Warren Quinton; sister, Lanell Gibbs; brother and sister-in-law, Doyle (Robbie) Thomas. Several nieces, nephews, relative and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. A private inurnment will be held at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Heart & Soul Hospice.
