Tim Cooper

Tim Cooper, 75, of Desloge, passed away January 13, 2025, at Camelot Nursing Home in Farmington. He was born July 1, 1949, in Bonne Terre. He was preceded in death by his mom, Jessie (Pierce) Cooper; brother, Lonnie “Joe” Cooper and brother-in-law, Charles Burt.

A member of the First Baptist Church of Desloge, Tim exemplified faith and commitment in all areas of his life. For 47 years, he served as a custodian with the North County School District, where his unwavering dedication and warm spirit touched the hearts of countless students and colleagues alike.

Tim cherished the simple joys of life, particularly his fishing trips with his late brother, Joe. These moments were filled with laughter, memories, and the bond of brotherhood that Tim held dear. He also took immense pleasure in the company of his nieces and nephews, whose lives he enriched with love, guidance, and support.

Tim is survived by his loving sister, Georgia Burt; nieces and nephews; Chuck Burt and wife Natalie, Steven Burt and wife Dianna, Melanie McFerron and husband Sam, Alice Janz and husband Charles along with several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Friday, January 17, 2024, from 10:00 AM until service time of 12:00 Noon. Burial to follow at Saint Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials can be made in Tim’s memory to North County Backpack Program.
