Terry Young

Terry Young, 62, of Leadington, sadly passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Parkland Hospital in Farmington, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 13, 1963, in Columbia to Wayne and Helen (Berry) Young, Terry lived a life filled with passion and joy. Terry was a true sports enthusiast, with a special love for fishing, supporting the St. Louis Blues, following NASCAR, and attending many soccer games of his children. He found joy not just in sports, but in the simple pleasures of watching birds and animals in nature. Above all, his greatest love was for his family and grandchildren, along with the many friends he cherished throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darrell Young; stepfather, Harold Bishop; and stepsister, Teresa Gibson.

Terry is survived by his children he deeply loved, Kelsey Vogelsang and husband Luke, Konnor (fiancé Caleb Tittle) Young, Keaton Young; three grandchildren, Avery Vogelsang, Gia Vogelsang and Rowan Tittle; adoptive mother, Millie Bishop; siblings, Cynthia (Michael Simoneau) Wayne (Diane) Young, Keith Young, Gayle Young, Ron Young; stepsisters, Rochell (Randy) Moss and Tara (Bobby) Eaton; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, April 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery in Bonne Terre. In honor of Terry's memory, let’s gather to share stories, laughter, and the love he spread to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts. Memorials may be directed to C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge to help with funeral expenses.
