Teri Bowen

Theresia “Teri” Bowen, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in Farmington at Parkland Hospital in Farmington surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Thursday, August 16, 1945, in Bonne Terre, to the late James Clifford and Lena Marguerite (Bible) Smith. 

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Duane “Butch” Bowen; sister, Carolyn Walker; sisters-in-law, Nedra Francis, Jane Weible, LaDonna Smith; in-laws, Everett and Alice Bowen. 

 Teri brought joy and kindness to everyone she encountered throughout her life. She enjoyed raising her five children and going camping with them when they were younger. She also enjoyed sewing and watching Cardinal Baseball. She loved having all her family over for Sunday dinners and being able to spend precious time together. Her grandchildren were all special to her and she enjoyed being able to attend their activities as well as watching and supporting all local community athletes and sporting events.

She is survived by her children, Lynne Ellis, Lisa Hulsey (Craig), Michael Bowen, (Crissy), Jill Yarbrough (Mark), Susan Long (Jake); nine grandchildren, Joshua Ellis, Nick Ellis, Michaela Hulsey, Darron Bowen, Veronica Bowen, Nora Graves, Maggie Long, Kate Long, Alex Yarbrough; one great-granddaughter, Ralynne Ellis; brother, Joe Smith; sister-in-law, Judy Pettus, brother-in-law, Travis Walker. Along with several nieces, nephews, friends and family. 

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 2:00 PM with Pastor Joe Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Bismarck Masonic Cemetery in Bismarck.
