Sylvester J.Pete Martin

Sylvester J. "Pete" Martin, 83, of Bonne Terre passed away Sunday February 2, 2014 at his

residence. He was born July 11, 1930 to

the late Joe and Jesse Mae (Cook) Martin in Bonne Terre. Pete was preceded in

death by his wife Gladine Martin.Pete

was a member of the Elvins Ionic Lodge #154 A.F.A.M. He was a past member of the Centenary United

Methodist Church. Until his retirement

Pete owned and operated Martins Small Engine Repair in Bonne Terre.Pete is survived by his children, Paula Blackwell

and husband Greg of Bonne Terre, Steve Martin and wife Cheri of Bonne Terre,

Dennis Martin and wife Diane of Byrnesmill; loving companion and friend, Rita

Goodson of Potosi; brother, Edward "Mutt" Martin and wife Gladys of Bonne

Terre; three grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter. Pete was a loving and

proud father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. Visitation

will be Wednesday February 5, 2014 from 4 to 8 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son

Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with a Masonic Service at 7 pm. Funeral service will be 11 am Thursday at

C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Michael Kelpe officiating. Interment will follow

at Bonne Terre Cemetery.
