Stevie Gale Johnson

Stevie Gale Johnson, 75 of Bonne Terre, passed away January 25, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 5, 1949, to Elec N. and Ella M. (Cotham) Johnson. 

Stevie loved hunting, fishing, camping and all kinds of food, especially when he was cooking on a open fire. He also loved spending time in Branson and watching different shows. He also enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and anything Nascar. He retired from FedEx Freight after many years of being a Highway Hero. Stevie never met a stranger and always had a big smile on his face. His laughter would rattle the wall. He was a very giving person who loved life to the fullest, but above all else he loved spending time with his family, who he loved deeply. Spending time with his family was the ultimate gift he received. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Virginia Crum, Martha Middleton, Harold Johnson, and Eugene Johnson; brothers-in-law, Howard Lancaster and Darrell Oberle.

 Stevie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Darlene Ellen (Oberle) Johnson; his daughter, Stacy Johnson-Lewis (Harold); granddaughter, Erica Langston (Brandon), great-grandchildren, Braedley Langston and Evaleigh Langston; sister, Lovana Cooper (Phillip); brother-in-law, Rickie Oberle (Ruth Ann); and sister-in-law, Judy Rauls (Dennis). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as hosts of friends. 

 A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 11:40 with a Masonic service at 11:40 AM, until the Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 PM Pastor Ed DeSpain to officiate.
