Steve Ancy

Stephen F. Ancy, 97, of Bonne Terre passed away June 4, 2016 at St. Joe Manor. He was born May 17, 1919 to the late Andrew Peter and Anna Elizabth (Bulno) Ancy. Stephen served our country in the U.S. Army Aircorps. Stephen was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the First Catholic Slovak Union of the U.S. and Canada, and of the VFW post 2210. Steve and his wife Rose will always be remembered for the wonderful pizzas, pastas, and other Italian dishes that were sold from their home business known as Rosie’s Pizza.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife Rosaria Maria (Cassiere) Ancy; son, Francis Steven Ancy; brother, John Ancy; and sister, Mary O’Neil.

 

Stephen is survived by his children John J. Ancy and wife Karen of Terre Du Lac, Mary Ann Hammer of Columbia, Missouri, and Annette and husband Bob Jenkins of Wildwood, Missouri; grandchildren Matthew Hammer, Jessica and husband Kevin Trost, and Sarah Ancy; great-grandchildren, Sicily, Joe, Logan, and Cody.

 

Visitation will be Monday, June 6, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. William J. Baier officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul or another charity of your choice.
