Shirley Ann Newcomer, 88, of Bonne Terre passed away August 24, 2015 at St. Joe Manor. She was born July 7, 1927 in Bonne Terre to the late Adolph Fredrick and Alta Mae (McCarty) Meyer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Firmin H. Newcomer and great-grandson, Andrew Fresia. Shirley was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and worked for the North County School District as a secretary and aide. Shirley loved spending time with her family, gardening and traveling. She also loved to cook and was known for her pies. Shirley is survived by four daughters, Judy (Steve) Whitley of Ellisville, MO, Janice (Gary) Vines of Monument, CO, Jane (Larry) Klutenkamper of Lake St. Louis, MO, Jill (Jeff) Jeude of Bonne Terre, MO; grandchildren, Kevin Vines, Kyle Vines, Stephanie (Chris) Cooper, Ryan Whitley, Brady Jeude, Aimee (Dave) Fresia, Dr. Andy Newcomer (Drew Hodgson), Amanda Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Afton Cooper, Tony, Olivia, June and Firmin Fresia; great-great-granddaughter, Lucy Davis; brother, Dwight (Jean) Meyer of Kentucky. Visitation will be Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Bonne Terre with Pastor Frank Husted officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
