Shelby Hurley

Shelby Jean (Kellick) Hurley, of Bonne Terre passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the age of 82. She was born on Thursday, May 29, 1941, to the late Claud and Mary Grace (Henley) Kellick. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, William “Bill” Hurley who passed January of this year; 15 siblings and granddaughter, Katie Eaton.

Following retirement, Shelby and her husband Bill enjoyed traveling in their R.V. spending time in Texas and Arizona. Shelby also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of Baptist faith.

She is survived by seven children, William (Diane) Hurley, Jr., Michael (Sandie) Eaton, Donnie Hurley, Patty Haus (Stan Turnbo), Georgia (Paul) McClanahan, Jeff (Diane) Eaton and Laura (Steve) Borgetti; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Baker and Claudine Strickland along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume Monday, November 27, 2023, at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM with Pastor James Womble officiating. Interment will be 2:00 PM at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri.
