Samuel Alvin Hawkins

 Samuel “Sam” Alvin Hawkins, age 85, of Potosi, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at National Health Care in Desloge.  Samuel was born on Friday, May 29, 1936, in Bonne Terre. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Virgie (Whitaker) Hawkins; brothers, Donald, Herbert Jr., Timothy, Kenny and Hershel Hawkins; sisters, Dorothy Casby, Loretta French and Ruth Ann Hughes, Geraldine Bowen, Ellen Cash, Brenda DeClue and Susan Korn. Sam is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Dolly Hawkins; children, David Hawkins and Dennis Hawkins; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.  

Visitation will be Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Visitation will resume 10:00 AM on Friday, June 16, 2021 from 10:00 am until service time of 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Chaplain Justin Ogden to officiate. Burial to follow in Bonne Terre Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C.Z Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
