Ruth V. Pipkin

Ruth (Pirtle) Pipkin, 94 of Farmington, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington. She was born September 8, 1917 in Mine La Motte. Ruth was a member of the Flat River Church of Christ. Most folks will remember that she and her husband owned and operated Pirtle Feed and Hardware until 1975. She was preceded in death by parents, Christopher and Alma (Matthews) Pirtle and one sister Marguerite Horton. Ruth is survived by her husband of 75 years, Glenn E. Pipkin; children, Selwyn Pipkin and wife Phyllis of Arkansas, Larry Pipkin and wife Sharon of Farmington, and Janice Sutterfield and husband J.S. of Florida; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Geneva (Mrs. James) Barker of Farmington; brother-in-law, Milburn Horton of Farmington. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 5:00 ?? 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Bernie Crum officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington.Memorials can be directed to the Alzheimers Association www.alz.org.
