Ruth Hedgcorth

            Ruth Hedgcorth, 91, of Leadwood, passed away October 26, 2017, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Facility in Farmington. She was born February 6, 1926, in Leadwood, to the late Louis Jackson and Emma (Burch) Brewer. She was a member of the Leadwood First Church of God. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 71 years, George Mont Hedgcorth Jr.; eight siblings, Jesse Sago, Raymond Brewer, Carl Brewer, Paul Brewer, LeRoy Brewer, Jack Brewer, Mae Brewer Peak, and Macey Branham. 

            Ruth is survived by three children, Ed Hedgecorth and wife Sheila of Potosi, Dennis Hedgcorth and wife Tamera of Irondale, Jane Patterson and husband Woodrow of Desloge; seven grandchildren, Jeffery M. Hedgecorth, Joshua E. Hedgecorth, Corey G. Sago, Jeremy W. Hedgcorth, Jacob R. Hedgcorth, Christina R. Basler, and Lacey E. Sullivan; sixteen great-grandchildren; special sister- in-law, Norma M. Brewer; special nephew, Carl “Butch” Brewer; and special niece, Carmen E. McClanahan. 

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, October 27, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Kendal Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery in Leadwood.
