"I thank my God upon all remembrance of you" Phil. 1:3 Ruby Bradley, at the age of 98, our dearly beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother, went to be with Jesus, on Monday, May 25, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Heavens gain is our loss. Devoted to her family, she selflessly gave us her unfailing and unconditional love. She was our rock, our constant, our role model. The light of Jesus in her heart shown through in everything she did. She loved cooking, sewing, crocheting and spending time with her devoted family. She will be in our hearts forever. Ruby was born in Wortham, to the late Elmer and Lavetta (Harris) Hampton, October 19, 1916. She lost her mother at the early age of 3 and was lovingly raised by her father and stepmother, Hazel Hampton. Her brothers, Vernal Hampton, Ronald Hampton, Ernest Hampton, Elmer and Delmer Hampton and sisters, Edith Pitts, and Georgia Lee Hall, all preceded her in death. She has one remaining sister, Ruth (Firmin) Gettinger, and two brothers, Shelby (Henrietta) Hampton, and Raymond (Anita) Hampton. She was married to the late Elven L. Bradley. They had 6 children, Rhonda Bradley (deceased), and Cyrus (Brenda) Bradley, Bryan (Peggy) Bradley, Tamera (Bill) Pyatt, Trena (Vernon) Motley, Ruth Ann (Kim) Kollmeyer. Ruby had 3 grandchildren who preceded her in death, Lisa Ann Bradley, Becky Sue Bradley, Terri Ann Pyatt; 11 who survive, Matt (Tonya) Bradley, Connie (Donnie) Agnew, Steve (Cindy) Bradley, Brett Pyatt, Bill (Angie) Pyatt, Kelli (Steve) Howard, Kim Burt, Kris (Dennis) Husky, Brian (Angie) Motley, Carie (Greg) Dinehart, and Jennie (Tim) Maloney; 25 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren, who she loved dearly and many beloved nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was a long time member of the Irondale Assembly of God. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, May 27, 2015, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. JC Moore and Rev. Firmin Gettinger officiating. Interment will follow at Big River Cemetery in Irondale. Memorials may be directed to Missions through the Irondale Assembly of God.
