Roy S. Lukachick

Roy Samuel Lukachick, 90 of Farmington passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at The Arbors at Maplebrook Memory Care Facility. He was born Monday, May 23, 1927 in St. Francois County to the late Daniel Lee and Mary Rose (Ziebia) Lukachick. Roy was a graduate from Esther High School and a member of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Holy Orthodox Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was stationed in Germany, France, Japan and Korea. Roy briefly attended college and ended his working career with the United States Postal Service.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his five sisters, Anne Lukachick, Mary Hager, Eva Bieser, Catherine Parker, and Helen Lukachick; and one brother, Mike Lukachick, Sr.

Roy is survived by his three brothers, Paul (Mary) Lukachick of Park Hills, Frank (Wilma) Lukachick of Farmington, and Joseph (Grace) Lukachick of St. Peters; twenty-one nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be Monday, October 23, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge with a prayer service at 7 PM. Service will be in the chapel at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Father Christopher Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at the Orthodox Cemetery in Park Hills with full military honors.
