Roxie M. Elders

Roxie Mae (Barnes) Elders, 93, of Bonne Terre, passed away at St. Joe Manor on Monday, June 1, 2015. She was born Thursday, February 9, 1922 in Cantwell to the late Cyrus and Rosalie (Ketcherside) Barnes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Elders; daughters-in-law, Patricia Elders and Clara Elders; five brothers and four sisters. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bonne Terre. Roxie is survived by sons, Darrell Elders and wife Sharon of Hutchins, TX, Ronald Elders of Bonne Terre, Herschel "Jim" Elders and wife Denise of Warrenton, Michael Elders and wife Cynthia of Canyon, TX; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ron Poole officiating assisted by Rev. Michael Krampf. Interment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the First Baptist Church of Bonne Terre.
