Rose Neel

          Rose Neel, age 95, of Riverview, Florida formerly of Bonne Terre, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Sun City Center Hospice House in Ruskin, Florida. She was born on Sunday, August 7, 1927, in Valles Mines to the late Walter Griffin and Mary Elizabeth (Nash) Pratte. Rose was a retired hairdresser and was a member of Eastern Star #166. She was a very proper lady and was well respected by her friends and family. Rose was of Baptist faith.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Neel; siblings, Mabel Zimmermann, Ernest Lee “Pete” Griffin and wife Mary, Bessie Borchers and husband Charles, Herb Griffin and wife Joyce, Norma Pettus and husband Ralph and Connie Sue Brewer.

          Rose is survived by her children, Carole Ann Rucker and husband Joel, Janet Graves and husband Randy, Joseph Neel and wife Melinda; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Wayne Pratte, Nancy Mabrey and husband Mark, Dave Pratte and wife Lorri, Joe Ray Pratte along with several nieces, nephews and other friends and family.

          Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge from 10:00 AM until service time of 12:00 PM with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Burial to follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Mineral Point.
