Ron Morris

Emmett R. "Ron" Morris, 80, of Bonne Terre passed away November 15, 2013. He was born on July 18, 1933, in Bonne Terre the son ofEmmett A. and Anna Morris. Both of his parents passed away by the time he was 3years old. He was raised by his paternal grandparents William T. and EllenMorris in East Bonne Terre. His Aunts and Uncles William, Jesse, Georgia, Lela,and Lee Morris also helped with his upbringing. He married Daisy Kirkpatrick and had three children.In 1952 he moved his family to Southern California. He was a member ofTeamsters, Local 63 in Los Angeles. He became a professional truck driver anddrove all over the United States, Canada and Mexico. He retired from IngersollRand in 1989 and returned to Bonne Terre. During his retirement years heenjoyed working for the Bonne Terre School District, Jamie Bess Construction,and Hubbard Construction. He built a home on the Bess Family Farm and enjoyedthe loving support of the Ernest and Lela Bess family for many years. He lovedto ride his Harley Davidson and enjoyed many trips with family and friends.Ron is survived by his daughters, Delena (Kevin)Christensen, Brenda Fetterman, and son, Ronald Morris; grandchildren, AmberAdams, Brian Fetterman, Torey Peters, Shania and Blaze Garza. He is alsosurvived by Shirley Hubbard a cousin who he was raised with and many loving cousinsand friends. Derrick and Rachael Schoppe are sincerely thanked for their lovingcare and support. Visitation will be Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 10:00AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son FuneralHome in Bonne Terre with Rev. Randy Murphy and Rev. Ryan Retzer officiating.Interment will follow at Adams Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorialsmay be made to St. Francois County Shop With A Cop.
