Roger Marler, 64, of Farmington, passed away October 21, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 30, 1949 in Irondale. Roger later served his country in the United States Army, Army Reserves, and National Guard and retired after almost 25 years of service. He loved to hunt, fish, and had a passion for camping. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Laverne (Davis) Marler; daughter, Rebecca Huskey; granddaughter, Morgan Olivia Huskey; and brother, Dennis Marler. Roger is survived by his wife Geraldine (Pie chota) Marler; father, James William Marler, Sr., children, Stephanie (Mrs. Kenneth) May, Amy Rau, Belinda (Mrs. Tom) Grabrick, Roger Marler Jr. and fiancé Sarah; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, James William Marler, Jr., Jerry Wayne Marler and wife Sandra; sisters, Sandra Gay (Mrs. Bud) Boyer, Karen Sue (Mrs. Charles) Brewer, Diannia Lynn Wisniewski, Tammie (Mrs. Stephen) Yost, Laura (Mrs. Michael) Ward; son in-law, Jason Huskey; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Friday October 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM, officiated by Brother Mike Ward. Interment will follow at Big River Cemetery in Irondale.
