Roena Elizabeth Gruner

Mrs. Roena Elizabeth 'Sutherlin' Gruner passed away early Tuesday evening, December 6, 2011, at National Health Care, Desloge, at the age of 85 years, 10 months & 5 days. Roena was born on January 31, 1926, in Montalba, Texas, and was the daughter of Wilburn Sutherlin and Laura Lenora 'Youngblood' Sutherlin.

Roena married John Henry Gruner on September 30, 1946. He preceded in death in 1982. Also preceding-in-death were: a daughter, in-infancy, Susan Jo Gruner (1956); her twin brother, Edward and another brother, Vernon.
She retired from the State of Missouri, in 1985, and began her own quilting business.
Survivors Include : 2 daughters - Judy 'Mrs. Tom' Bromley, of Farmington, and Jo Ann 'Mrs. Marvin' Skiles, of Park Hills. 5 grandchildren: Lance (Kazumi) Hunt, of Misawa, Japan; Amy (Chuck) Klempert, of Ironton; Lucas (Cheryl) Hunt, of Park Hills; Lisa (Christopher) Boston, of Colorado Springs, Colorado & Tommy Bromley, of Farmington. Great-Grandchildren: Nicholas Hunt, of Farmington; Adrianne and Danyelle Klempert, of Ironton, and newborn Hannah Boston, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Great, Great-Grandchildren: Natalie and Keira Hunt, of Centralia, Missouri. A special Sister-In-Law, Wanda Sutherlin and a special Niece, Linda Cantrell, both of Farmington.
Visitation : Monday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes, Tuesday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., December 13, 2011
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Jacob Pollard officiating.
Interment : Knights-of-Pythias Cemetery - Farmington
