Roberta L. Janzekovich

Roberta L. Janzekovich, 91, of Bonne Terre passed away peacefully, with family holding her hand, February 2, 2017 at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington. She was born July 18, 1925 in Wayland, Massachusetts. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre. She worked for the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department in the 1960’s and 1970’s. She then went on to work as a Court Clerk for 25 years at the County Courthouse in Farmington. She also sold real estate for Hartrup Real Estate in Farmington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sara (Paulson) Hartford; husband, George M. Janzekovich; daughter, Darlene “her Dolly” Turnbaugh; two grandsons, Derrick Womack and Thomas Wilkinson V; great-grandson, Landon Bays; two brothers, John Hartford and William Hartford; three sisters, Dolly Gulltary, Betty Schwaby and Ann Littlehale; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie & Pete Decker.

Roberta is survived by four children, George (Barbara) Janzekovich of Bolivar, MO, Kenneth (Dorothy) Janzekovich of Swansea, MA, Bobbi Janzekovich of Desloge and Cheryl Wilkinson (Jeff Williams) of Bonne Terre; grandchildren, Erin Mashburn, Robyn (Randy) Brittain, Debbie (Nathan, “her gem”) Nash, Francy (Steve) Boatright, Donovan (Mandy) Womack, Garett Williams, Jenna Williams Butcher, Kenny Janzekovich, Jeffrey Janzekovich, Bob (Casey) Turnbaugh, Matt Turnbaugh, Andrea (Matt) Bova, Stephanie (Brett) Aug, Ashley (Dave) Finley. Several very special great-grandchildren also survive.

Nothing was more important to Roberta than her family and the people she loved. She will be remembered for her smile, hugs, warm heart and all the love she had to give for anyone who wanted or needed it.

Visitation will be Monday, February 6, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating.
