Roberta Fern Whitmire

Roberta Fern (Pettus) Whitmire, 84 of Bonne Terre, formerly of Ballwin, MO passed away December 14, 2012 at St. Joe Manor. She was born September 10, 1928 in Bonne Terre. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Lela (Pratte) Pettus; husband, John E. Whitmire; two sisters, Thelma Yarbrough and Alberta Faye Green; two brothers, Beauford Pettus and Virgil Pettus. Roberta is survived by her son, Richard Whitmire of Hillsboro, MO; two grandchildren, John R. Whitmire and wife Christine of Troy, MO and Britney Whitmire of Ballwin, MO; three brothers, Bearl Pettus, Farrell Pettus and wife Nancy and Dallam Pettus and wife Grace; two sisters, Glenda (Mrs. Ken) Byington and Virgie Morris. Visitation will be Monday, December 17, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre. Interment will follow at 1:15 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Safe Harbor Hospice.
