Robert Edward Gamblin, Sr.

Robert Edward Gamblin, Sr., 64, of Bonne Terre passed away June 14, 2017. He was born June 1, 1953 in St. Clair, IL. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy as an Airman. He was the former owner and operator of Gamblin & Son Tree Service and Small Engine Repair.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Gamblin, Sr.; mother, Harriet (DeRousse) Gamblin; daughter, Casey Gamblin; two sisters, Karen Mackley and Linda O’Neill.

Bob is survived by his wife, Shellie (Bennett) Gamblin; son, Robert “B.J.” Gamblin, Jr.; daughter, Molly Bennett; son, Gary (Stephanie) Bennett; five grandchildren; three brothers, Junior (Margita) Gamblin, Kevin (Jennifer) Gamblin, Dean (Kelly) Gamblin; three sisters, Debra (Arthur) Corcoran, Janet (Billy) Dubnasky, Wanda (Kenny) Shelby. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Service will be Monday at 11:00 AM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or donor’s choice.
