Robert D. Blanton

Robert "Bob" Blanton, 72 of Desloge, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his residence.He was born August 23, 1939 in Cape Girardeau.Bob attended the Rolla School of Mines after graduating high school, became our area Wonder Bread Distributor, and later was the owner/ operator of Bobs Salvage in Hurryville as well as the Mini Storage in Park Hills.He also liked to hunt and fish in his spare time. He was preceded in death by wife, Deanna Belle (Rawson) Blanton; parents, L.B. and Lois (Dakan) Blanton. Bob is survived by sons, Larry Glen Blanton and Robert Linn Blanton; grandchildren, Ryan, Jennifer, Tori, and Andrew Blanton; great grandchildren, Nathan and Elijah James; sister, Anne Blanton. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, Friday, June 22, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with the service following immediately, and Pastor Paul Benbower will be officiating.Interment will follow the service at Three Rivers Cemetery.
