Robert "Bj" Johnson

            BJ Johnson, 67, of Farmington, passed away December 6, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 3, 1949, in Ironton, grew up in Flat River, and later served his country in the United States Army. BJ loved to play golf and he was the Marshall and member of the St. Francois Country Club. He loved his family, his dogs, and he also enjoyed, buying, selling, and trading cars. BJ retired from over the road trucking, and in 1988, he purchased and operated Hillview Memorial Gardens and Crematory. 

            He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Lee Johnson; two brothers, Ronnie and Roger Johnson. 

            BJ is survived by his wife, Nancy (Hartshorn) Johnson; mother, Imogene (Schmidt) Johnson; two children, Alison (Mrs. Tim) O’Donnell, Roger Johnson and wife Tasha; two grandchildren, Olivia and Mila O’Donnell; aunts, Jessica, and Jackie (Mrs. Bill) Brandmeyer; one uncle, Danny Johnson.

             A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM with full military honors. Chaplain Cody Allen will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Des Arc Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to ASPCA or Camp Hope.
