Richard M Woods

Richard M. Woods, Jr. age 74, of Bonne Terre passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his residence. He was born April 1, 1946 to the late Richard M. and Marcella Mae (Lawson) Woods Sr. in Washington County, Missouri. Richard proudly served our country in The United States Army during Vietnam. Richard owned and operated his own plumbing company. He enjoyed wood working, mushroom hunting, and carved morel mushrooms onto walking sticks. He was a very well-known and respected man in our community that will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his son, Mark Woods.

Richard is survived by his wife, Melanie “Jane” (Edgar) Woods; son, Matthew Woods and wife Deanna; daughter, Amy Eberline and husband Mike; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dale Woods and wife Joan, Dave Woods and wife Belinda, and Eddie Lawson; and many others.

 There will be a graveside service Tuesday, September 22 at 11:00 am with full military honors held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer funeral home in Bonne Terre. Face masks or coverings are required at the cemetery.
