Richard J Haarmann

Richard “Dick” J. Haarmann, 76, of Festus, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his residence. He was born Wednesday, November 26, 1947, to the late Christopher J. and Mildred W. “Henke” Haarmann in Florissant Missouri. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ronnie, and Christopher Jr. Haarmann; one sister, Genie Haarmann. 

Dick spent 30 years dedicated to his work with Perkins Construction, a proud member of the local Union #718. Throughout his life, Dick found joy in simple pleasures - from engaging in shooting matches, hunting, and fishing to the excitement of casino visits. His love for these activities reflected his down-to-earth nature and appreciation for life's simpler joys.

Dick is survived by his long-time companion, Debra Hayes; loving children, Richard “Rick” Haarmann and wife Lisa, David Haarmann, Sr., and Anthony “Tony” Haarmann and wife Susie; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Jennifer, Laura, Bruce, David Jr., Chelsea and Christopher Haarmann; seven great-grandchildren; Siblings, Patsy (Carl) Massey, 

Terry (Jackie) Haarmann, Kenny Haarmann, Charlie Haarmann, Linda Haarmann, Billy Haarmann, Donna (David) Moore. Dick will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him. 

There will be a private family burial at a later date.
