Mr. Raymond A. Weiler, of Farmington, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington, at the age of 92 years, 9 months & 16 days. Raymond was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Ste. Genevieve Co., & was the son of Walter Raymond Weiler, Sr., & Elba Gwendlyn 'McCord' Weiler. Also preceding were: his 1st wife, Iva M. 'Pinkston' Weiler (1986); his 2nd wife, Laura E. 'Heuring' Meier Weiler (2011); a stillborn daughter, Linda Carol Weiler; a son, James Raymond Weiler, 2 sisters, Madonna Pinkston & Norman Shearin, and a grandchild, Charmin VanHerck.
Raymond was a member of: The Little Vine Baptist Church of Ste. Genevieve Co; The Madison Co. Saddle Club & The LeadBelt Saddle Club. Raymond & Laura spent their winters in Mission, TX., where they enjoyed square dancing. He and another Benston Grove resident were the "Shuffle Board Champions of The Rio Grande Valley."
Survivors include: a daughter, June (& Bert) Barbey, of Valles Mines; a sister, Fay (& Charles) Pinkston, of Farmington; brother, Walter (& Bobby) Weiler, Jr., of Ste. Genevieve. 6 grandchildren: Brenda Kay (& Kevin) Ward; Mitchell Owen (& Jennifer) Barbey; Jan; Jeffrey; Virginia & Amanda. Great-Granddchildren: Rebecca (& Matt), Matthew (& Ashley), Natalie, Catherine, Elizabeth, John & others. Great, Great-Grandchildren: Matti, Jarod & Ava and others.
Visitation : Monday, 5-8 p.m. Visitation resumes, Tuesday @ 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., June 4, 2013
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Bob Webb officiating.
Interment follows at : Marvin Chapel Cemetery, rural Bonne Terre
