Ray "Ray Ray" Settle Iii

Ray H. “Ray Ray” Settle III, 43, of Bonne Terre passed away August 28, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born July 19, 1974 in Bonne Terre. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Bonne Terre and a former Eagle Scout. Ray majored in Political Science and had a passion for politics and teaching. He was a substitute teacher for the North County School District. He worked as a bar tender and waiter at Hub’s Pub for the past 5 years. Ray will be remembered for his big heart and willingness to help others. Even after death he continued to help others by donating his organs.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Mateel Settle and Paul and Maple Bollinger; step-grandmother, Callie Rayfield Settle.

Ray is survived by his parents, Ray and Linda (Bollinger) Settle, Jr.; sister, Sarah Lynn Womack and husband Jesse. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends also survive.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 2, 2017 from Noon until the time of service at 2:00 PM at the C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at the Settle Family Cemetery in Bonne Terre. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Liver Foundation at 16 Hampton Village Plaza # 215, St. Louis, MO 63109.
