Randell Burch, 87, of Park Hills, passed away July 19, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Mitchell, Missouri, on May 13, 1937, to the late John and Grace (McClain) Burch. Randell was a member of First Church of God in Leadwood. He was an elder and a deacon for many years. Randell worked as a miner and then foreman for the St. Joe and Doe Run Company for many years. In addition, he was a businessman who owned a nursing home and several rental units in the area.
Randell loved to travel, especially to be the grandkids’ biggest fan at all of their sporting events and activities. What he enjoyed most was being surrounded by 43 of his loving family members on any occasion. He was known for his “Randellisms” throughout his family, friends and colleagues.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leeman Burch, Leon Burch, and Gene Burch, sisters, Alma Henderson, Jewell Atkinson, Norma Jean Hollinger, and Hilda Barron.
Randell was the loving husband of 68 years to Bonnie (Pratt) Burch; father to his adored daughters, Melody Blankenship (Bob), Penny Beers (David), Tracey Newman (Jimmy), and Julie Watson (Todd); Paw Paw to eight grandchildren, Laura (Grant) Becker, Ryan (Jenny) Blankenship, Tyler (Amber) Beers, Tanner (Emily) Beers, Ben (Caroline) Newman, Torey (Muriel) Watson, Tate (Macey) Watson, Tucker (Mackenzie) Watson; he had seventeen great-grandchildren, Nolan, Addyson, Emery, Elliot, Mia, Amelia, Tatum, Brody, Jude, Navy, Blair, Brooks, Briggs, Rorey, Remy, Raleigh, and Ruthiana; siblings, Georgia Kitchell (John), Jerry Burch (Sylvia), and Mary Asher; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday July 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Reverend Ed Watson will be officiating assisted by Reverend Kendall Hughes. Interment to follow service at Leadwood Cemetery in Leadwood, Missouri. Memorials may be made in his honor to the West County Community Hope Center.
