OBITUARY FORMREV. RANDAL LAVERNE WALLENRandal Wallen. A faithful servant of God, at the age of 86, moved from his earthly home to his long awaited heavenly home on November 1, 2010. With his family singing around his bedside, he stepped into the portals of heaven at 11:15 PM. He was called to preach and was licensed with the Churches of God in North America in 1954 and was ordained in 1956. Through his ministry of 56 years countless lives have been changed. His grandson said it best at his bedside, "Grandpa felt through Christ his life had been changed, but really Grandpa has changed our lives forever because of his love for Christ".He was born September 27, 1924. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Pearl (McGee) Wallen, wife and mother of his children, Wanda (Bradley) Wallen, son Randy Wallen, Jr., wife Jean (McFarland) Wallen and sister Wilma Rae (Wallen) Mayberry.Loved ones waiting to see him again are his children, Sheila and husband George Saunders of Park Hills, Bud and wife Debbie of Park Hills, Debbie and husband Mark Guggenberger of Terre Du Lac, Angie and husband Brad Barton of Bonne Terre, Dennis Wallen of Festus, Denise and husband P. D. Murdick of Bonne Terre, Krystle and husband Ed Moses of St. Louis, step-children, Mark and Denise McFarland of Park Hills, Linda Vassallie of Sullivan, and his brother Rae and wife Marcelene Wallen of Ohio.He left behind a legacy to 16 grandchildren, Ray Brian and Melinda Saunders, Steven and Pam Saunders, Sarah and Jared Volner, Heather and Taco Mason, Bryan and Kacy Wallen, Jenne and Mike Brule, Christopher Wallen, Andrea and Bob Simily, Andrew and Erin Guggenberger, Jessica and Chris McLain, Kyle Wallen, Samantha Weber, Tanya Schreiber, Matthew and Jenna Moses, Brandon Moses, and Kyle Moses, 5 step-grandchildren, Alan and Amber McFarland, Keith and Sarah McFarland, Krista and Jake Wilson, Ronald Vassallie, Brady and Sara Vassallie.22 great-grandchildren, Thaylor, Baylee, and Carson Saunders, Dustin and Megan Saunders, Madisson and Devon Volner, Karlee and Emilee Mason, Chrissy and Kimmy Wallen, Nolan Brule, Christopher Wallen, Jr., Aliva and Brody Simily, Ethan and Makenna Guggenberger, Lauren, Kylee and Micah Schreiber, Reese Weber, and Peyton Moses. 9 Step-great-grandchildren, Emma, Alyssa, Layton, and Eli McFarland, Halle Wilson, Tyler, Bailey, Hanna and Halie Vassallie, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.Our Dads greatest desire on earth was to be like Jesus, as he looks down from heaven we can hear these words, "When you finally make your entrance into that City, look for me, for I will be there too!"Visitation is 5:00 PM Thursday (NOV 4 2010) at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services are 11:00 AM Friday (NOV 5 2010) at C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev Ron Dane officiating.
