Phyllis Ruth Schnebelen

Mrs. Phyllis R. Schnebelen passed away Oct. 30, 2004, at MARMC, Farmington at the age of 87 years, 1 month & 18 days. Phyllis was born Sept. 12, 1917. She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Joseph Schnebelen, (1994); 2 Daughters: Kay Breden Schnebelen (1977) & Renee Margaret Watkins (2003).

Phyllis was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Farmington since 1925, 50 year member of Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron, Director Emeritus of Southeast Community Treatment Center, having been recently honored by the Missouri House of Representatives and the Governor of Missouri for her service there, retired Magistrate Judge of St. Francois County, retired attorney, retired from Preferred Land Title Co., formerly known as St. Francois Co. Abstract Co., Past-President of Missouri Land Title Association; retired Magistrate Judge, St. Francois Co; graduate of Kirkwood High School, Webster Univ. and St. Louis Univ. Law School, having been the 2nd woman to have "invaded the school" according to the yearbook, resided in Doe Run until early teens when the family moved to Kirkwood and moved back to Doe Run in 1950 and then to Farmington in 1953.

Survivors Include: 1 DAUGHTER, Cara (& Terry) Detring, of Farmington; 1 SON: Craig (& Roxy) Schnebelen, of Farmington. 2 SISTERS: Anne Howe & Gloria Boos, of Kirkwood. 7 GRANDCHILDREN: Mike Payne; Steve Payne; Jeremy Detring; Jayme 'Schnebelen' Dement; Christine Detring; Amy Schnebelen & Rachel Schnebelen. Also, 6 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.

Visitation Tuesday, 5-8 pm. Visitation resumes Wed, 7-9 am @ TAYLOR Funeral Service. Visitation moves to Farmington Presbyterian Church, starting at 9:30 am, with funeral services at 10:30 am, with Rev. Jesse Perry. Burial follows at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
