Peggy Joyce Freeman, 86, of Leadwood, passed away July 21, 2017, at Community Manor. She was born on March 24, 1931 to the late William W. and Sarah E. (Wilson) Williams. Peggy was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church in Leadwood where she played the organ and piano. She enjoyed painting, craft work and bird watching.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Freeman; two brothers, Otis (Elsie) Williams and Williard (Ruth) Williams; one sister, Delores (Robert) Thompson.
Peggy is survived by two children, David Freeman and wife Madonna of Irondale and Dennis Freeman and wife Kelly of Fenton; four grandchildren, Lisa Boyd and husband Dennis of Farmington, Laci Tadych and husband Greg of Farmington, Jennifer Crowe of St. Louis and Leslie Skaggs and husband Cody of Louisiana, along with seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge with Rev. Bill Bond officiating burial to follow at Leadwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
