Paul Wells, 81 of Desloge, and formerly a lifelong resident of Leadwood, passed away March 24, 2015. He was born April 18, 1933 in Mitchell, to the late James and Mary (Serini) Wells. Paul was the last living of his nuclear family group. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Wells, one sister, Amelia Wells (Sutton) and nine brothers, Cornelius, Joe, Sam, Richard, Otto, Junior, Harvey, Jessie, and Georgie. Several nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, and friends survive Paul. Paul valued kinship and was a detailed family historian telling many family stories. He had an excellent memory and enjoyed being kept up to date with present day family stories and photographs. He attended the 2014 Wells family reunion at Leadwood Park this last October. Paul was a collector of what he valued as beautiful junk and memorabilia all his life. He liked to trade and make deals. He gave away many pieces to admirers. He let go of this life- long hobby and pursuit after moving to NHC Healthcare in Desloge where he adjusted well and participated in social activities. Paul spoke highly of the people who cared for him during these last couple years at NHC Healthcare. After several hospitalizations and bouts with pneumonia and congestive heart failure Paul received hospice care. His hospice nurse reported that Paul was a lot of fun. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Leadwood Cemetery. Family under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home will hold the service. A potluck celebration of Paul's life will be held afterwards at the Leadwood Firehouse. All are welcomed to attend. View tribute and share your memories and condolences at www.czboyer.com.
