Pastor Edgar Green

Pastor Edgar Green, 73 of Park Hills, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Des Peres Hospital is St. Louis. He was born December 18, 1940 in Bonne Terre to the late Ralph Eugene and Martha (Dunlap) Green. Edgar was the Pastor at First Church of God in Irondale, for the past 5 years. During the past 45 years, he was a First Church of God Pastor which included, Desloge, Richmond, Furnace Creek, Belgrade, Adam Bethel, Hazel Creek, and Neodesha, KS. Pastor Edgar also served his country in The United States Air Force.Pastor Green is survived by wife, Judy (Brakefield) Green; children, Robbie Green of Columbia, Vickie (Mrs. Jeff) Chilton of Farmington, Jeffrey (Chris) Green of Bismarck, Steve (Karen) Green of Belleview, and Debbie (Mrs. Tom) Carney of Sommerville, IN; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, James (Diane) Green of Desloge, Ruth Richards of Leadwood, Sandy (Mrs. Mark) Saurage of Farmington; a number of nieces, nephews and several special friends.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, December 20, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Cleo Counts officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Antioch Cemetery.
