Pam Long, 65, of Desloge, passed away May 6, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born July 29, 1955, in Bonne Terre, to Ronald and Barbara (Braning) Marler. Pam enjoyed flowers, shopping, her fur babies and most of all, her grandchildren. She never missed any of her grandkids sporting events. Pam was the secretary at North County Middle School for 34 years, until retiring last year. She loved her job and co-workers, but not the summer breaks. Pam was always excited to get back to work in the fall.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Marler; grandparents, Lehman and Mary Braning, Stanley and Ada Marler; father in-law, Wayne Long.
Pam is survived by the love of her life for 47 years, husband John Long; children, Jamie Manzella and husband Dan, John Long and fiancé Stephanie and Jenna Tracy; grandchildren, Alia and Tyce Manzella, Kinley and Kambria Tracy; mother, Barbara Marler; siblings, Mark Marler, Brad (Michelle) Marler, Tammy Gibson, Wade (Sherry) Marler; mother in-law, Wanda Long; her furry critters, Luffy, Sera, Siri, and Reesie; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, May 10, 2021, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Chuck Lotz officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed in Pam’s memory to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance at www.ocrahope.org
