Ova Cricket Brooks

Ova Brooks of Farmington, also known as "Cricket", passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, age of 94 at the Farmington Presbyterian Manor.She was born June 21, 1917 in Arcadia Missouri.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington as well as the Order of Eastern Star.She is preceded in death by parents Andrew Martin and Anna Mae (Reed) Young; first husband, John Pratt; second husband, Harold Brooks; son, John Michael Pratt; grandchildren, Angie and Kevin Wadlow; great-grandson, Sean Michael Swoboda. Ova is survived by son, Roger W. (Judy) Pratt of Farmington; daughter, Patricia Ann (Mrs. Russell) Wadlow of Arcadia; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 13, 2012 at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.The service will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Desloge, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Derek Meek officiating.Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington.
