Opal Kimberlin

Opal Kimberlin, 96, of Park Hills passed away March 4, 2016 at her residence. She was born to the late Laymon and Irena Rosetta (Pendleton) Adkins Copeland February 28, 1920 in Meta, Missouri. Opal was known as a caring and strong person.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elsworth “Elzia” Rowden; second husband Chester Kimberlin; son, Lonnie Rowden; daughter, Nancy Elder; grandson, Wayne Elder; and nine siblings.

Opal is survived by seven children, Marian  (Terry) Umfleet, Myrl (Sherry) Adkins, Boyd (Debbie) Rowden, Verline (Henry) Hart, Sandra Rowden, Pamela Rowden, Mark (Wendy) Rowden; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills. Service will be Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Ed Bennett officiating. Interment is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at 3:00 PM at the Vienna Public Cemetery in Vienna, Missouri.
